🎛️ Abyddos Jukebox

Install the jukebox website

The starter kit is a small PHP website to upload to your hosting: your customers follow the music there and request their tracks.

Before you start

Spotify must be linked, the domain verified, and the keys generated. The kit needs PHP 8.1 or later with cURL, with no database or framework: shared hosting is enough.

Download the kit

Open the API documentation from the API keys page, then tap “Download (.zip)” in the Starter kit box. The kit's .env file is already filled in; only your secret key is missing, to paste after JUKEBOX_SECRET_KEY=.

Put the website online

Upload the jukebox folder to your hosting (over FTP), then point your domain to its public subfolder. On OVH shared hosting: Multisite, edit the domain, “Root folder” = jukebox/public. Then turn on HTTPS (on OVH: Multisite, then SSL) and open your domain.

Configure the kit

In the .env file: JUKEBOX_NAME sets the displayed name, JUKEBOX_ACCESS_CODE requires a code shown in the venue (left empty, no code is asked), and JUKEBOX_REQUESTS_PER_10_MIN sets how many requests each customer can make every 10 minutes (3 by default). The look is edited in public/style.css.

“Le jukebox n'est pas encore configuré”

This message (the jukebox isn't set up yet) means the secret key is missing or the .env file isn't being read. Check that .env sits at the root of the jukebox folder, next to the public folder, and that JUKEBOX_SECRET_KEY is filled in.
