Fallback playlists

When the queue is empty, your fallback playlists take over: the music doesn't stop.

Choose your playlists

On the Live page, tap “Choose from my playlists”, tick one or more playlists from your Spotify account, then tap “Save”. The account's first 50 playlists are offered.

How they're played

Tracks are drawn at random from the first 100 of each playlist, with no repeats until every track has played. Fallback playlists kick in as soon as the queue is empty: with autoplay, or when you tap “Play” or “Skip”.

Playlists marked “!”

A playlist you don't own is marked with a “!”: Spotify may refuse its tracks. Prefer playlists created or copied on the venue's account.

Without a fallback playlist

Without a fallback playlist, the music stops when the queue is empty, and “Play” answers “Nothing to play: the queue is empty and no fallback playlist is set.”
