🎛️ Abyddos Jukebox
API keys
Two keys connect your jukebox's website to the platform: a secret key for your server and a publishable key for live updates.
Generate your keys
On the API keys page, tap “Generate my keys”. The secret key (sk_…) is shown only once: copy it right away, then tap “I have stored it”. After that, only its last four characters stay visible.
The secret key
It goes on your server, in the kit's .env file (JUKEBOX_SECRET_KEY), never in a web page or an app. Abyddos only keeps a fingerprint of it: a lost key can't be recovered, you have to generate a new one.
Regenerate the secret key
“Regenerate” creates a new secret key and turns off the old one immediately: your website stops working until the new one is pasted into its .env file.
The publishable key
The pk_… key is only used for live updates, read-only, and is only accepted from your verified domain. It's already filled in the kit and doesn't change.
For developers
The “API documentation” link on the API keys page describes the /api/jukebox/v1 API: status, queue, search, requests, and votes. Calls go out from your server with the Authorization: Bearer header followed by the secret key, and are only accepted once the domain is verified.
